Leverage: Redemption Season 3 Release Window Revealed
The release window for Leverage: Redemption season 3 has been revealed. Debuting in July 2021, the revival continues the premise of the original Leverage by following reformed criminals as they use their unique skills to help ordinary people fight back against corporate and governmental injustices. Nearly a year after the season 2 finale, it was announced that Leverage: Redemption season 3 was renewed and would move to Prime Video from its previous home of Amazon Freeve. But since then, a more exact return date has not been unveiled.
The latest news from TVLine sheds a little more light on the status of Leverage: Redemption season 3, as it's confirmed that the former Freeve show will be making its debut on Prime Video sometime in 2025.
Behind the scenes, Leverage: Redemption season 3 will also feature a return of sorts behind the scenes. John Rogers, the co-creator of the original Leverage, will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the third installment. He'd previously been a consulting producer on the revival. Although not much is known in terms of story details, the new installment is expected to pick up after the events of the Leverage season 2 ending which placed a spotlight on Sophie.
Leverage: Redemption is poised to have a bigger spotlight with its Prime Video move, as the platform has made big hits out of action dramas such as Reacher and Jack Ryan. The action revival fits nicely alongside those titles, though it does favor a more ensemble approach to the story. That may garner it a wider audience, as the revival is also notable for its wit and deft in handling group dynamics.
Leverage: Redemption is available to stream on Prime Video and Freevee.
