Electric Entertainment Acquires North American Rights To ‘Ask Me to Dance’
Electric Entertainment secured the feature film Ask Me to Dance for North America.
Produced by Trick Candle Production, the romantic comedy follows two people who are destined to meet and fall in love on New Year’s Eve. IT programmer Jack and graphic designer Jill are unlucky in love, but one starry night, they separately meet a fortune teller who advises that they will meet the love of their life before midnight. The two go on a series of hilarious and horrible dates, barely missing each other and leaving them wondering whether their prophecy will come true.
The film stars Briana Evigan, Mario Cantone, Joyce DeWitt, and Tom Malloy, among others.
Electric Entertainment picked up U.S. and Canadian rights, as well as parts of the Caribbean Basin.
