Season 2 of The Outpost Currently in Production
SCI FI – NBCUniversal International Networks’ (NBCUIN) destination brand for all things science fiction and fantasy – today announced that The Outpost, the Electric Entertainment and Arrowstorm Entertainment-produced series, is returning for a second season on the channel. Production of the popular fantasy series began with new production partner, Balkanic Media, in Serbia in January 2019 in a studio and on location near Belgrade. The second season of The Outpost will return to SCI FI this summer, bringing more adventure and unpredictable twists.
Jessica Green (Roman Empire) returns as Talon, the lone survivor of a race called “Blackbloods.” In a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilized world, Talon must learn to master her supernatural powers, and ally with a Queen who has been in hiding to defend the world against a fanatical religious dictator. Also returning for the second season are Jake Stormoen (Extinct, Mythica) as Captain Garret Spears, Imogen Waterhouse (“Braid,” “Nocturnal Animals”) as Lady Gwynn Calkussar, Anand Desai-Barochia (Emmerdale, Lake Mead) as alchemist Janzo, Andrew Howard (Top of the Lake, Hostiles) as Gate Marshall Cedric Wythers and Robyn Malcolm as barkeeper Elinor. New to the cast in the second season is Serbian actress Jelena Gavrilović who plays Chunjin, Lilli Hollunder as Rebb, Glynis Barber („Point Break,” EastEnders) as Gertrusha, and Aaron Fontaine (Hollyoaks, Doctors) as Tobin.
Executive produced by Dean Devlin, the co-writer and producer of Stargate, and Jonathan Glassner, the showrunner/executive producer of Stargate SG-1, The Outpost is also executive produced by Electric Entertainment’s team of Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson and by Arrowstorm Entertainment’s team of Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin, the team behind the cult favourite Mythica films. Jennifer Griffin of Arrowstorm Entertainment and Jonathan English of Balkanic Media are also producing. The show was created by Kynan Griffin and Jason Faller.
The Outpost – Season Two will premiere this summer on SCI FI in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Catch-up on the first season of The Outpost currently on DIVA on Mondays at 22:00.
